Mangaluru: Sri Venkatramana Swamy Temple, Someshwara will be receiving a brand new silver palanquin which will be handed over to the temple administration by Pontiff of Kashi Mutt Samsthan Shree Samyamindra Theertha Swamiji, during his camp in the temple from November 26 to 29.
Samyamindra Theertha will also be handing over 108 silver kalash’s on the same day.
Both, palanquin and kalash’s will be handed over on the ‘Punyatithi’ of the 17th Pontiff of Kashi Mutt Sri Bhuvanendra Theertha Swamiji on November 27.
At this point in time, to the deity of Kashi Mutt Samsthan, Sri Vedavyas, several ritualistic puja’s will be offered along with a procession of Bhuvanendra Theertha’s photo on a palanquin.
On the same day, ‘Satakalasabhishekam’ to Lord Venkateshwara Swamy will be performed in the presence of Samymindra Theertha. ‘Skanda Havan’ will also be performed.
The temple is said to have a 625-year history.
