Sharline D’Sa from Belman elected Udupi ICYM President

Udupi: Sharline D’Sa from Belman parish of Shirva deanery was elected as the president of ICYM in the annual meeting. The election of new office bearers was held in Don Bosco Hall at Mother of Sorrows Church, Udupi on June 18.

The annual general body meeting was held under the leadership of Loyal D’Souza and later the session proceeded into the election of office bearers for the year 2017-18.

A session on “social sensitisation” was conducted by Dr. Vincent Alva, Principal, Milagres College, Kallianpur and Holy Eucharist was celebrated by Rev. Fr. Anil Jacob D’Sa, Regional Youth Director of ICYM, Karnataka Region.

Fr. Edwin D’Souza, the Diocesan Youth Director, presided over the oath taking ceremony for the new office bearers.

The office bearers of ICYM, Diocesan Central Committee 2017-18 are as follows:

Sr. Hilda Mascarenhas and Walter D’ Souza, Diocesan animators and others were present. Former president Loyal D’Souza welcomed the gathering while the newly elected president Sharline D’Sa proposed a vote of thanks. Lavita Pinto, Gangolli compered the entire programme. Around 132 youth were present on the occasion.
