Rotary club Mangalore South handovers newly built house to poor family

Mangaluru: Nandini Raghuchandra, President of Rotary Club of Mangalore South, and office bearers hand over a newly built House to Ramachandra and Deepa here in Krishna Bajan Mandira, Krishna Nagara, Bondel, Mangaluru.

Speaking to News Karnataka Nandini Raghuchandra said ” My friend Lolakshi informed me about a poor family living in a hut made by plastic. When I saw the place there was neither roof nor wall. There was no light in the house. Initially, we gave donated them a solar light. After that, I thought we must help this family. We waited for 3 months for government funds. But however, we did not get any positive response from the officials.

“So with the help of donors of Muskat, Oman we have started to build a house for them. Half of the money is sponsored by donors, the rest I have collected through my friends and family members. Today, we handover the house worth Rs 1 lakh to the family,” she added.

Social worker Lolakshi was also present on this occasion.
