Mangaluru: A cemetery is holy place for all the Christians, it is a place of hope. Keeping these thoughts in mind Sacred Heart of Jesus Church cemetery was renovated and made very attractive. A small prayer hall has been built with basic facilities along with walls around the cemetery. Fruit bearing and other flower bearing trees and plants have been planted around the cemetery with necessary water facilities created to nurture them. The Bishop of Mangalore Diocese Most Rev. Dr Peter Paul Saldanha conducted a prayer service and blessed the graves. While addressing the gathering, Bishop requested all the people to maintain the sanctity of this sacred place. People who contributed and worked on the project were facilitated by the Bishop.
