Mangaluru: For the betterment of the world, a “Maha Vishnu Yaga” was performed on Monday, February 10, in the presence of Kashi Mutt pontiff Sri Samyamindra Theertha Swamiji at the Konchady Kashi Mutt.
The havan began with the lighting of the lamp.
Samymindra Theertha, who is currently residing in the newly inaugurated Vanitha Achuta Pai Convention Centre, was brought to the havan area with a ritualistic welcome. The seer then performed a puja in the havan area.
Purohits from different temples performed the havan. Later, food was served to the devotees.
The Maha Vishnu Yaga will be performed for three days and on the third day, the havan will be ended ritualistically in the presence of Samyamindra Theertha.
