Kasargod: Kevin Misquith, the heart throb of Konkani music lovers, is all set to present his 43rd music concert on the 12th of February at Maria Ashram Church Grounds, Talapady.
The concert, being organized by ICYM Kasargod deanery for a noble cause, intends to raise funds to meet the medical expenses of a fellow youth of the parish.
Kevin Misquith was approached by the youth of deanery seeking his help in raising the funds for the noble deed. Misquith not only helped them but also promised to help them raise funds by performing free at the concert.
The funds raised at the concert will directly go to meet the medical expenses of 31-year-old Zerald Rodrigues, s/o late Mr. Sebestain Rodrigues and a native of Ukkinadka Kasargod who is undergoing treatment for chronic renal failure. Zerald has been advised to undergo dialysis treatment twice a week, expenses of which amount to Rs. 15,000 per month. However he may need to undergo renal transplant for a long term survival. The anticipated expenses of the same would be Rs. 12,00,000 approximately.
The concert incidentally coincides with the time when Kevin Misquith embarked on his musical journey way back in 2007. “It is a noble way to celebrate the occasion with music for a noble cause,” opines Kevin.
Kevin started his musical journey on Feb 11, 2007. His first musical concert was held at Don Bosco hall in Mangalore and since then he has performed in 42 concerts besides several other shows and has six albums to his credit.
Kevin will also be seen performing in Saudi Arabia & Bahrain in the followings weeks on 17th & 24th Feb respectively.
