Mangaluru : ICYM Suratkal unit organized “Yuva Milan” a half day programme for the youth of Suratkal parish on 29 July, 2018 at Sacred Heart Church hall.
The event was presided over by the Parish Priest Rev Fr Paul Pinto, accompanied by Parish Pastoral Council Vice President Dony Suares, Secretary Bernard Dsouza, ICYM Animator Teena Rebello and ICYM Suratkal Deanery President Sandeep Dsouza. The programme was inaugurated by watering a sapling, signifying the growth and development of youth in the society.
Two sessions were held for the day. The first session was conducted by Elson Hirgan who spoke about the importance of ICYM unit in a parish, different ways to strengthen it and motivated the youth to actively participate in this movement.
The second session was conducted by Rev Fr Rahul DSouza Pakshikere. He spoke about the various aspects of a person’s life that need to be taken as a challenge and that they should be faced bravely. The event concluded with the lunch. It was a funfilled day and a day to remember.
