Mangaluru: The Indian Catholic Youth Movement, Central Council, Diocese of Mangalore, organised the “Yuva Tharbeth 2019” – Round 1 on April 7 at the ICYM Diocesan Office in Jeppu, on the occasion of the ‘Year of the Youth’. “Yuva Tharbeth 2019” is a training programme to make the youth more effective resource persons for the present and the future.
Yuva Tharbeth – 2019 consists of three sessions, the second session will be held on April 14.
Rev. Fr Richard Dsouza – Director, Canara Communication Centre, Diocese of Mangalore was the chief guest and the resource person of the day.
The programme commenced with a formal stage programme with a prayer service led by Ancita D’Souza and team. The event was inaugurated by the dignitaries by lighting the lamp.
In his address to the gathering, Rev. Fr. Richard D’Souza said, “The world now has the largest population of young people with a large number of resources, but it all depends on when, where and how they use it. The reality is that people need to be extra productive and should be empowered in their workplace.” He also explained the different ways to deal with body language and the various methods to utilize the potentials hidden in the people.
A total of 40 people attended the session.
The aim of this training was to make the youth more informed, productive, empowered and for them to acknowledge the potential they have within themselves.
Roshan Rocco – Secretary, ICYM City Deanery compeered the programme. Jaison Leroy Pereira – Diocesan Youth President welcomed the guests and the gathering. Fevisha Monteiro – General Secretary delivered a vote of thanks.
