Bantwal: ICYM Bantwal Unit organised a blood donation camp at Bantwal Church hall in collaboration with ICYM Bantwal Deanery, Catholic Sabha Bantwal, Lions and Lioness Club, Bantwal and Fr. Muller Charitable Institutions on 23 September 2018.
The programme began with a prayer song led by ICYM members. Minol Braggs, Secretary ICYM Bantwal Deanery welcomed the gathering. Fr. Maxim Noronha, Parish Priest presided over the function and gave the presidential address. The dignitaries on the dias inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp. Dr. Christina Goveas enlightened the audience on the importance of donating blood. Annet D’Souza, Secretary ICYM Bantwal unit delivered the vote of thanks. The programme was compered by Melisha D’Souza, member of the ICYM.
The formal function was followed by blood donation by the donors. Around 60 donors donated blood. The programme was conducted under the guidance of Sunil Lewis, the ICYM animator. ICYM President Avinash D’Souza and Secretary Annet D’Souza coordinated the programme. The blood donation camp received appreciation from all and thus turned out to be a successful event.
