Udupi: Bishop of Udupi Diocese Most Rev Dr Gerald Isaac Lobo officially released the ‘National Youth Sunday’ poster at a meeting held by the ICYM Diocese Council on 22 August 2018 at the Bishops’ office.
On the occasion Bishop also interacted with the office bearers of ICYM present.
Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM) Udupi Diocese president Dion D’Souza, Diocese PRO Rev Fr Chetan Lobo, ICYM Animator Leslie Aroza and ICYM office bearers were present at the meeting.
The Youth Sunday will be celebrated on August 26 in all the parishes of the Udupi Diocese.
Dion D’Souza said in his media release that ‘Youth Sunday’ is celebrated to promote and encourage Catholic Youth in their understanding of Christian faith and vocation, and their personal commitment to Catholic values. Particularly the Commission focuses on the holistic growth of the Catholic Youth and their ensuing commitment towards the Church and the larger society in India.
