Mangaluru: The ICYM Bantwal unit took initiative to collect contribution from the Bantwal parishioners under the K2K project of ICYM Central Council. This event was coordinated by the ICYM president Avinash Jeevan D’Souza and secretary Annet Carol D’Souza with help of other ICYM members.

On 19 August 2018, contributions were collected by the unit members from the parishioners in the form of cash and other items. The parishioners generously donated funds towards this which exceeded rupees one lakh. Other things collected included rice, clothes, water cans, packet food items and medicinal kits.

There was a massive response towards this initiative by the parishioners. Same was highly appreciated by the parishioners and parish priest. Later all other units of the Bantwal deanery pooled their collected items at Bantwal unit and from there two trucks were sent to Mangalore ICYM central office.

Youth of the ICYM Bantwal actively took part by collecting things from morning 6 am to evening 7pm.
