Mumbai: Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaja Award-winning White Lipster Udaya Shetty and his wife, Veena Shetty, have done humanitarian services by helping poor families in the Andheri West, Yogeshwari and Borivali areas for the past one week.
Sadashiva N Shetty, father of Uday Shetty, died in Bangalore and his mother-in-law Indira Shetty died in Mumbai due to old age. In the memory of the deceased, Udaya Shetty and his wife have already supplied a month’s ration comprising and other cereals to over 300 families visiting their homes.
The earnest service will continue, says Uday Shetty.
Renowned athlete Udaya Shetty is a national champion and is the general secretary of the Master White Lifting Federation. While employed in a nationalised bank,he was instrumental in getting many deserving Tuluvas jobs in the sector and now on retirement is into hotel business.
