Patience versus anger

There was a group of ladies who were working for a cause. Among them, there was one lady who was always smiling, taking all challenges on herself, and appearing to be a very calm person who doesn’t get stressed at all. So all other women had thought that she is the most patient person in this group, and they all believed that she never gets angry.

But when the whole group was going through a training program by a psychologist, it was recognized that this lady who was portrayed as the coolest and calmest person had anger issues. When it was further explored it was recognized that she was angry about many things but had suppressed her emotions of anger and never showed that she was also angry about certain things.

When she was given a chance to be on her own and express all types of anger which were suppressed in her, so many things started coming out.

The members of the group were surprised to know that she had so much anger within her. But appeared the coolest and calm person!

We consider patience as a virtue that we all should inculcate within us. Anger is considered a negative emotion.  But it is not easy to develop patience as well as control anger! Hence, a lot of people start suppressing their emotions of anger. This is not healthy for the individuals and hence we should find healthier ways to express our anger. Otherwise, even if you appear patient to the outside world, you will be building a volcano inside you!
