Chithradurga: In a rather shocking yet bizarre incident, a son killed his mother and then ended up offering prayers to her dead body, stating that he had executed the commandment of his God.
Thimmaraju, resident of Dammi Gollarahatti of Holalkere taluk in Chithradurga district is the accused who is in police custody.
When the local residents witnessed the insane behaviour of the man, they informed the police. On being nabbed by the police, Thimmaraju, who has been behaving like a mentally disturbed person, told the police that his God appeared in his dreams and ordered him to kill his mother.
Thimmaraju’s wife had left him two-years-ago and he used to pick quarrels with his mother very frequently.
Locals say that Thimmaraju has always behaved in an abnormal way, but there are chances of him concocting a story to escape punishment for killing his mother.
Police is investigating the case.
