Chitradurga: Health and backward classes development minister B Sreeramulu stated that former chief minister Siddaramaiah, who is making defamatory statements against Godse and Veer Savarkar, shall not remain on the earth.
He stirred up this fresh controversy while speaking to reporters in Chitradurga.
“Siddaramaiah has lost control of his tongue. Let him first read history,” he stated.
“The Congress has no moral right to talk about the Bharat Ratna, as it denied the coveted award to Dr B R Ambedkar. Siddu’s remote control is in New Delhi and he is giving statements to please Sonia Gandhi,” he said.
It can be recalled that, during his visit to Mangaluru, Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Assembly Siddaramaiah had criticised the Central Government for bestowing the Bharat Ratna on Veer Savarkar. He had said that the decision to select Savarkar as the awardee revealed the Prime Minister’s fake patriotism as the former was one of the accused in Mahatma Gandhi’s assassination.
