Chitradurga: Villagers of Sondekola are facing one of the worst droughts. Well before summer, the village is devastated by the water crisis.
In order to have the problem resolved, the villagers had approached Bharatiya Janata Party MLA G H Thippareddy. But the comment made by the MLA has become the ‘talk of the town.’
Thippareddy asked the village women, “Whom did you all vote for this time?”
“I’ve been helping you in times of water crisis from several years and this is what you give me in return? Now that you have voted for some other party candidate, go and ask that minister to resolve the water crisis”, said Thippareddy.
He also said, “Men from your village are saying that I had ensured water supply to only one section of the village and ignored the rest. Even after helping so much, you didn’t support me”.
“Where is that person who asked me to fill water in other areas now?”, asked the angry MLA.
He concluded by saying, “Everyone has a time. God is watching from above. I had expected this situation and it has happened. Now the time has come for me to question you.”
