Chitradurga: The gruesome mishap between a car and lorry claimed five lives on the spot, at BG Kere in Chitradurga during wee hours of Tuesday.
Two injured in the mishap are undergoing treatment in a private hospital.
The car was plying from Bengaluru to Bellari when the mishap occurred and the deceased have been identified as Kumar (27), Basha (30), Sriramulu,
Sathish. One deceased is yet to be identified.
It is said that all the deceased hailed from Bellari.
The lorry driver and cleaner have been injured and have been admitted to a local hospital.
