Chitradurga: Deputy Commissioner R Vinoth Priya met with an accident near the Shivaganga village on Tuesday, February 18.
According to reports, when DC’s driver tried to avoid a cow that was crossing the road, the car had rammed into an oncoming KSRTC bus.
Although the bus was completely damaged, fortunately, DC Vinoth escaped from the jaws of death.
It is now understood that the bus was travelling towards Chitradurga from Shivamogga and that the Deputy Commissioner was travelling towards the Holalkere town for inspection.
The Chitrahalli Police, who rushed to the spot, assessed the situation and informed that DC Vinoth and her driver had escaped with minor injuries. Later, DC Vinoth left in another vehicle.
Meanwhile, the police have filed a case in this regard.
