Chikkaballapura: Police from the Chikkaballapura district have launched an investigation into an incident of attempted sexual assault on a class IV girl by two PU students, who later uploaded the video on social media.
The incident has sent shockwaves through the state.
According to sources, one of the boys attempted to sexually assault the minor girl, while the other recorded the act on his mobile phone. It has been alleged that these boys circulated the video on social media after the act.
The incident came to light when the father of the victim approached the police.
The police have registered an FIR against the accused under various provisions of the POCSO act.
