Chikkaballapura: Former Member of Parliament from Congress, Veerappa Moily continued his tirade against the Janata Dal (S) party here on Saturday, June 22, by holding the coalition for the Congress party’s downfall in the state. He also accused former prime minister and JDS Supremo H D Deve Gowda of unethical political practice.
Joining other Congress leaders who have been blaming the coalition for the pathetic condition of the party in the state, Moily has said that if the Congress had contested separately, there were chances of winning atleast 15 Lok Sabha seats in the recent general election.
He said, “The state coalition is only busy in saving itself from collapsing and has not concentrated on bringing everybody together. They have not even introspected on the reasons for such a downfall in the recent election.”
Criticising HDD for his “unethical political practice,” Moily said, “HDD has begun issuing very illogical statements. His statements keep fluctuating. Because of his nature of speaking whatever he wants and whenever, the foundation of the state coalition is under a serious threat. The Congress leaders are not like him and will not speak in his manner.”
“None of the MLAs are ready for another election as people will not tolerate such shabby politics and every leader is sure that the results will be devastating. They all know that nobody will win”, he added.
