Chamarajanagara: The district SWEEP Committee is working to its fullest capacity to create awareness among the people regarding voting and this time, by including achievers from all walks of life. They have left no stone unturned to achieve their goal.

In Chamarajanagara, a unique way of creating voter awareness was exhibited by weaving the four symbols on the beautiful silk saris woven by the artisan weavers of the district.

The Kollegala weavers had woven four saris with four different symbols pertaining to the current Lok Sabha elections.

The toll-free helpline 1950, C-vigil App used to record any complaints regarding malpractices in the election season, voting machine, V V PAT and symbols promoting free and fair elections without falling prey to money and other entrapment used to lure voters, were the symbols artistically woven on the saris that look unique.
