Kollegal: Two stag hunters were nabbed along with meat and body remains in Gopinatham forests near Hanur by forest officials, while one more managed to escape.
Suresh and Raghavendra, both residents of Gopinatham were held by the forest officials. Ayyan, the third hunter, managed to escape.
Forest officials also seized 30 kg meat and other body remains.
Forest official team, guided by Assistant Conservator of Forests (ACF) Ankaraju, managed to nab the hunters based on a definite tip-off. The accused later were remanded to judicial custody.
Efforts are on to trace the third accused, Ayyan, who is absconding.
