Chamarajanagara: The rain and cyclone destroyed banana plantations in Badanaguppe, causing huge loss to its owner.
The banana plantation belonged to BP Nagaraja Murthy and was completely destroyed. The banana plantation was nine months old and was nearing harvest. The estimated cost of crop loss is around Rs 6 Lakh. The neem trees growing in the farm were also uprooted by the cyclonic winds.
Farmer B P Nagaraja Murthy has requested the concerned officials to visit the plantation immediately and help him get maximum compensation under the government’s natural calamity fund.
