Chamarajanagar: A close aide of forest brigand Veerappan was arrested by the Chamarajanagar police on Sunday, February 2.
Stella Mary (40), a close associate of the bandit was arrested after 27 years, confirmed Chamarajanagar Superindent of Police H D Anand Kumar.
Speaking about the arrest, the SP said that Stella Mary had been hiding her identity, which is why she was not found. “She was arrested on Sunday from the Kollegal area of Chamarajanagar,” he added.
During the interrogation, Stella admitted that she was trained to use guns and other arms. She also disclosed personal information about herself, like details about her life and marriages.
