Chamarajanagar : Popular Sandalwood actor Upendra who recently floated his own political party seems to have found a supporter in none other than Mysuru scion Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar.

Upendra announced the launch of Karnataka Prajnavantha Janata Party (KPJP), at a time when the state is gearing up for Assembly polls early next year.

Speaking to media persons at sidelines of an event in Chamarajanagar the scion extended his good wishes to the actor for his venture and opined that such an independent political party was necessary for the State at this juncture.

His statements assume significance since the erstwhile Maharaja Srikantadatta Narasimharaja Wadiyar had a long association with the Congress member and was a four-time Member of Parliament from Mysuru. Though he had been associated with the BJP for a brief time period since he was was denied ticket by the Congress he had yet again joined the party fold before distancing himself from politics altogether.
On whether he contemplates joining politics, Yaduveer’s reply suggested that while he does not rule out the option in future he did not have such plans at the moment as per the report.

Political experts are wondering whether these statements of Yaduveer indicate his new ‘leanings’?
