Chamarajanagar: In a heart wrenching incident, a mother and daughter were electrocuted to death when an electric wire fell into the river where they were bathing. According to the police, the incident was reported from the Hebbasur village in the Chamarajanagar taluk.
The deceased have been identified as Manjula (40), wife of Kannan, a resident of Chamarajanagar town, and Yashashri (9). The couple’s older daughter, Shravyashri (14) sustained serious injuries and is being treated at the district hospital.
The incident occurred when a live electric wire broke and came in contact with the river. The two were electrocuted as the river water is polluted.
