Kollegal court extends Sulwadi tragedy accused’s JC till Jan 16

Chamarajanagar: The Kollegal Court has continued the judicial custody of the four accused in the Sulwadi temple prasadam poisoning case, till January 16, here on Thursday, January 3.

The four accused temple trust president Immadi Mahadevaswamy, Ambika, managers Madesh and Naga temple priest Doddaiah were brought to the court at 11.30 AM from the Mysuru Jail under tight security.

The judge observed that none of the lawyers was ready to take up the case for the four accused and gave this decision.

All the accused accepted the same when the judge asked them whether any lawyer was not ready to take up the case for them.

A massive crowd was observed outside the court premises.

Meanwhile, Immadi Mahadevaswamy was made to remove the saffron pontiff attire and asked to wear regular clothes.
