Chamarajanagar: The residents of Chamarajanagar city had a pleasant surprise on Thursday, April 11 morning, when the children of two political rivals in Mysuru, campaigned together in the city for alliance candidate R Dhruvanarayana.
G D Harish, son of Mysuru district in-charge minister G T Devegowda and Yatheendra Siddaramaiah, son of former CM Siddaramaiah carried out a campaign together in the city. Both leaders were found smiling all the way while they sought votes for the alliance candidate.
This gesture comes as a big surprise to the JDS and Congress activists as GTD and Siddaramaiah have still not launched a joint campaign in the neighbouring Mysuru Lok Sabha constituency.
“This is a big surprise,” said a Congress leader. “We hope their parents will also work together in Mysuru,” he said.
