Chamrajnagar: Chamarajanagar, a tribal heavy district of the state was the only district in entire South India that didn’t any COVID 19 positive cases till now. Even though a medical student tested positive in the district on June 9, he was a resident of Mumbai who had traveled to the district on the Udyan Express. But now the district reported its first COVID 19 case.
A resident of Gundlupet, a truck driver tested positive on Saturday. He had transported onions to the Tamil Nadu and Kerala markets.
A few days ago he had developed cold, fever, and a sore throat and had taken medicine from a local doctor. As it escaped control, he was tested for COVID 19. The result was positive.
He is presently at Chamarajanagar district COVID 19 hospital. He is recovering well, say, officials
