Chamarajanagar: The members of the Popular Front of India (PFI), on Monday May 3, came together in large numbers to ensure that all those died due to the oxygen shortage will get a decent final rites.
The team led by Kafeel Ahmed, performed the final rites of 20 persons who died at the district hospital.
The final rites were performed at the government notified area behind the Chamarajanagar Institute of Medical Sciences.
According to the sources, many relatives were not ready to take the body of their dear ones due to the fear associated with Covid-19.
Ahmed said the PFI volunteers from Kollegal, Gundlupet and other places also arrived at Chamarajanagar to join the drive.
