Chamarajanagar: The forest department sources have confirmed that there will not be any safari for next one week in the Bandipur forest reserve, here on Monday, February 25.

The forest officials, firefighters, environmentalists and the localites are in a state of fear due to rapidly spreading fire. As the firefighters, with the help of the localites and forest officials are trying to bring the flames under control on one hand, part of the forest area around Bandipur is still under fire.

Amid this Forest Minister Satish Jarkiholi has taken up an aerial survey in his private helicopter, assessing the intensity of the situation.
