Chamarajanagara: The personnel of the Anti Naxal Force (ANF) submitted a memorandum to the revenue officials of Gundlupete taluk, requesting them to cater to the problems and provide basic facilities to the people living in villages bordering the forests.

Over the past few days, the ANF personnel had conducted contact programs in Madduru colony, Upakara colony and other surrounding areas and made note of the requirements of the tribal and forest dwellers living in the area.
Aadhar card, nutritious food at regular intervals, bus facility, electricity supply, protection from wild animals were the listed requests by the ANF personnel, which was submitted by ANF DYSP Prasanna Kumar to the Tahshildar Nanjundayya. The same memorandum was submitted to ADC Anand at the Deputy Commissioner’s office.

According to reports, the DySP said, “it was important to bring the people living in the remote areas to the mainstream and bring a feeling of inclusiveness in them. Otherwise they may easily get influenced by the Naxalites. The naxalites from Kerala may come and settle here so it was important to take steps for the development of the area. Therefore a memorandum was submitted to the revenue department”.

Nagaraju, Shivashankar and Prasad from ANF and leaders of the Girijan community Rajendra, Nagaraju and others were present.
