Tumkur: The youth of the country should be inspired by the struggle of those who strive for independence in the country, said Secretary to the State Sarvodaya Maha Mandal, Tondo TL Narasimhaiah.
He gave a special lecture on the online program ‘Azadi Ka Amrita Mahotsav’, which was hosted by Tumkur University on Tuesday July 13.
Recalling the various stages of the national movement from 1857 to 1947, he said that the ideals of peace, non-violence, swadeshi and satyagraha led by Gandhiji should be a model for us.
Vice-Chancellor Colonel (Prof.) YS Siddhegowda presided over the programme.
Registrar Prof.K.Sivachittappa, Registrar of evaluation(Examiner) Prof.Nirmal Raju, Professor L. P. Raju, Program Coordinator Dr. Chikkanna others were present.
