Mangaluru: The Department of Respiratory Medicine and Marketing department of the Yenepoya Medical College, Deralakatte, have jointly organized a Respiratory Health Awareness programme, Free YogicTreatment camp, along with several other programmes in line, this month uptil October 10.
Earlier, on September 6, the college had organized an awareness programme under the title, “A lecture on Respiratory Health and Yoga”. The lecture session was conducted by the Associate Professor, Department of Respiratory Medicine, Dr. Irfan and Kushalappa Gowda N on Yogic Treatment.
Similarly, on September 7 and 8 it had conducted a Respiratory checkup, which was offered for free and also at discounted rates. People affected by smoking, people working under fuel emitted condition and dust, who are affected by the respiratory issues, obesity and people having phlegm and cough were treated.
People who are curious to know about the respiratory-related diseases and the ones who wish to be treated for the same are given an opportunity to be treated uptil October 10. The timings to visit the awareness and treatment camp is said to be 4 pm to 5 pm.
From 5 pm to 6 pm, yogic treatment training session will be conducted.
The yogic treatment session is said to be conducted under the guidance of Kushalappa Gowda.
The entry is free. People interested can make a good use of this camp. Interested are requested to register beforehand.
World Heart Day at YMC
The Department of Cardiac treatment and the Department of Marketing, jointly collaborated and organized the “World Heart Day” and awareness drive, in the outer premises of the college.
Free checkups regarding blood pressure, sugar/diabetes and along with ECG tests, the food system for the heart patients and awareness programme on the same was organized by providing different variants of pamphlets.
Around 350 people participated and made a good use of it.
