The Centre for Environmental Studies observed World water day by organizing a photography competition for the students and staff of the University. The photograph had to represent water as protagonist.
A total of 39 students and staff participated in the competition. Dr. Gangadhar Somayaji, Registrar and Dr. M. S. Moosabba, Principal, Yenepoya Medical College distributed cash prizes and certificates to the winners.
The dignitaries released posters on save water and save electricity. Mr. Walter, Manager of Maintenance department and Mr. Praveen, Hospital Superintendent took up the responsibility of displaying the posters in various locations across the University. Dr. Bhagya B. Sharma, Assistant Director, Centre for Environmental Studies compeered the programme.
