Mangaluru: Vikas PU College celebrated its Annual Day on November 11 in the college premises.
Chief Guest of the function Chandrashekhara K, HoD of Business Administration, Govt. First Grade College for Women, Balmatta, gave the key mantra of empowerment, transformation and development. He also inspired the students to pay primary priority to cleanliness and discipline.
Krishna J Palemar, Chairman of Vikas Group of Institutions, presided over the function. In his presidential address, he asserted that educational institutions’ major concern was to develop responsible citizens.
The function started at 4.30 PM with an invocation and lighting of the lamp and prayer. It was followed by the felicitation of students who scored 100 out of 100 in various subjects and prize distribution for the winners of curricular and extra-curricular activities by the dignitaries.
The evening was made more colourful with cultural extravaganza after the presentation of annual report by both Dr. K Ramesh, Principal of Vikas College of Physiotherapy and Prof. T Rajaram Rao, Principal of Vikas PU College.
Trustee J Koragappa and Parthasarathi J Palemar, Coordinator of Vikas Group of institutions were present on the august occasion. Administrator Vidya Kamath compered the function, Correspondent Dr. D Shripathi Rao welcomed the gathering and Ayshwarya Rao proposed a vote of thanks.
