Mangaluru: A Two-day PGCET training programme was recently organised by the Department of Business Administration of Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management in the college premises for students aspiring to join MBA under the government quota in Karnataka’s B Schools.
During the two days, sessions were conducted in four areas – Quantitative Analysis, Reasoning and General Intelligence, General Knowledge and Proficiency in English Language by CA Gopalakrishna Bhat, CEO of Siddhanth Learning Solutions Pvt. Ltd and Founder of Trisha Group of Institutions; Vivekananda Kamath, Principal of Bransoft Academy, Brahmavara; Ankith S Kumar, Student Counselor and Guru Prasad Rao, Dean-Branding and Promotion.
The programme also included a mock test to give students a hands-on experience about the modus operandi of PGCET.
During the Valedictory ceremony, the top 156 participants were awarded. Chairman, Manjunath Bhandary addressed the students and urged them to refine their goals as they are stepping into a professional course and there should be clarity about their career. He also stressed on the key skills especially Communication that makes them an MBA.
The USP of the programme was the take away given as “PGCET Practice Book”. The programme was coordinated by Prof. Sushma V, Dept. of Business Administration.
Around 300 graduates attended the training programme from various places like Bengaluru, Thirthahalli, Shivamogga, Kumta, Madikeri, Kundapura, Udupi and Bhatkal, apart from the students from Mangaluru.
