Subramanyan Ganesh addresses UPSC aspirants at SAC

Mangaluru: St. Aloysius College has been organising several talks by eminent persons for aspirants in the UPSC Coaching Class Programme of the college for about a year now. During the latest of such interactions, held on September 26, Subramanyam Ganesh of the IRS, spoke on building a wider perspective on the society, at Sanithya Hall.

Subramanyam addressed the gathering in an interactive manner and spoke about the need to dispel darkness and ignorance, the need to have a larger interest of the society, and the need to have rightly placed emotions and genuine empathy. This realisation, he stressed, along with willingness will allow competence to “kiss one’s feet”.

Dr Rose Veera D’ Souza welcomed the gathering and informed the audience about the UPSC Coaching Class Programme that has been conducted at the College since June 2017. She then formally introduced the Chief Guest. Rev. Dr Praveen Martis S.J., the Principal of the College presided over the function and shared his message of sacrifice, service and sharing. Dr. Joyce Lobo wrapped-up the session with a vote of thanks.
