Mangaluru: St Agnes College (Autonomous) organised NAVIDAD, a charity show to help provide shelter for the homeless, on December 20 on the College grounds.
Blossom Rego, Vice President of the PTA, St Agnes College was the chief guest of the occasion. In her message, she spoke about forgiveness and love which defines Christmas. She said that the youth was her strength and that she liked to work among them.
The programme comprised of a meaningful tableau which depicted the birth of Jesus Christ through acting, singing and dance sequences. A skit was enacted highlighting the meaning of Christmas. The programme ended with a Christmas dance with Santa Claus distributing sweets to the audience.
The beneficiary from the amount collected this year was Renita D’Souza from I year B.Com.
Sr Dr Maria Roopa A.C, Superior and Joint Secretary of the institutions; Sr Dr M Jeswina A.C., Principal; Sr Dr Venissa A.C., Vice-Principal, faculty members and students were present.
Emima David from the department of Zoology welcomed the gathering and Helen Serrao proposed the vote of thanks. Marina Lobo from the Department of Physics was the Convener for the programme.
