St. Agnes College celebrates National Security day

On 12.03.2019, the National Cadet Corps and the Department of Political Science, St Agnes College Autonomous, jointly organized a programme to celebrate National Security Day. Capt. Ganesh Karnik, former Opposition Whip Karnataka Legislative Council and Lt Col Gracian Sequeira were the Chief Guests of the Programme. Capt. Ganesh Karnik addressed the well-attended gathering on nationalism and patriotism and the role of students in the protection of our country. He also stressed the significant role of military forces.

Lt Col Grecian Sequeira a former Lt. Colonel in the armed forces also addressed the gathering. He narrated his experience in the army and stressed on the values that students need to follow in life.

NCC Cadets were awarded their stripes and ranks and this was followed by the giving away of awards to the Best Cadets in the Army and Air Wings of the NCC of the College. 

Sr Dr. Jeswina A.C. presided the programme and Dr. Nagesh NCC Staff Coordinator, Lt Gayathri B.K ANO, Army Wing, Mr. Chandramohana the HOD Political Science and Dr. Hithakshi, Care Taker Air wing were present for the programme.
