Mangaluru: The Department of Business Administration at St Joseph Engineering College, Vamanjoor, Mangaluru had raised Rs 73,000 through 10k Marathon-Run for Humanity, which was held on September 23, in order to help the flood victims of Kerala and Kodagu.
Principal Dr Rio D’Souza, Dean of Department of Business Administration Dr. Prakash Pinto, Faculty Coordinator Vinish P, along with student coordinators visited the Deputy Commissioner’s office on Tuesday, October 9 and handed over the cheque to Tahashildar N Manikya as per the advice of the District Commissioner Sasikanth Senthil.
Earlier, the marathon had received a thumping participation from both student community and the general public.
Mayor Bhaskar Moily appreciated the initiative by the institution.
