SDM PG Centre, Ramakrishna Mission hold ‘Swachh Mangaluru Abhiyan’

Mangaluru: Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara College of Business Management’s Post Graduate Centre for Management Studies and Research, Mangaluru, in association with the Ramakrishna Mission, Mangaluru, to hold a cleanliness drive “Swachh Mangaluru Abhiyan” on March 31 in Attavar.

Ramya Shetty, Assistant Professor, SDM PG Centre, flagged off the drive. Speaking on the occasion, she said that the youth should actively and enthusiastically participate in cleanliness drives to position Mangaluru as no. 1 on the ranking list released by the Swaccha Sarvekshan by the next phase.

The cleanliness drive began at 7.30 AM and went on till 9.30 AM. A batch of 45 students, along with staff members, actively participated in the Swachh Bharat Drive. A team of volunteers visited nearby houses in Attavara and distributed Swacch Mangaluru awareness handbills to spread awareness among the people.

Swami Ekagamyanandaji of the Ramakrishna Mutt said that cleanliness drives are a wonderful opportunity for students to participate and to raise awareness about the importance of cleanliness among the members of society.

Ranjan Bellarpady of the Ramakrishna Mutt, Dilraj Alva, President, Swacch Mangaluru Abhiyan, Dr. Prameela Shetty, Assistant Professor, SDM PG Centre, Mangaluru were also present.
