Mangaluru: The 25th batch of B.Sc Nursing students of SCS College of Nursing Sciences has their lamp lighting and oath taking ceremony on December 19 at the KECT auditorium, Ashoknagar, Mangaluru.
The programme was inaugurated by chief guest Principal of Unity College of Nursing, Mangaluru, Prof. Chithra G.
The novice nurses received the light from the chief guest of the as HOD of the Community Health Nursing department, Swetha Kiran highlighted the significance of the lamp lighting ceremony.
Prof Chithra G, in her address to the students, told them to develop the right attitude for right learning, and that the right attitude cannot be learnt through advanced technology but only by mentorship and guidance given by teachers, parents and personal experiences.
The novice nursing students were inducted into the profession by taking the oath administered by the Principal, Prof. Lolita S M D’Souza.
The programme was compered by HOD of the Mental Health Nursing department, Jonita Noronha. Lecturer of the Medical-Surgical Nursing department, Rohan Roysten Sequeira, welcomed the gathering and a vote of thanks was delivered by Lecturer of the Medical-Surgical Nursing department, Amitha K.
