Mangaluru: Prof. Nisha from the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Sahyadri College, has been selected to pursue PhD under the ‘AICTE-INAE Teachers Research Fellowship Scheme’ at the Department of Avionics, Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST), Thiruvanthapuram.
Engineering Teachers of AICTE approved institutions can apply for AICTE-INAE Teachers Research Fellowship Scheme for pursuing PhD in Government Research Labs. On applying, Nisha had to go through a written test and an interview. She is the only candidate to be selected under this scheme in the IIST in the whole of India.
Nisha has been working with Sahyadri College for the last three years and is also an Alumna of the institute. Her research area will be “Microelectronics, Transducers &nd Actuators, Micro-electro-mechanical System (MEMS), Electromagnetic, and Communication Systems”.
Manjunath Bhandary, Chairman and Dr. S Manjappa, Director-Research and Sahyadri family have congratulated Nisha for this achievement.
