Mangaluru: The Sahyadri College of Engineering and Management, Mangaluru has emerged as a top institute in the state for both the number of projects sanctioned and the best projects awarded in the Karnataka State Council for Science and Technology (KSCST) student project program for the academic year 19-20. It secured funds for 37 sanctioned projects of which five were awarded as Best Project of the Year under the program.
The Karnataka State Council for Science and Technology (KSCST) is an autonomous Science and Technology organization under the Department of Science & Technology, Government of Karnataka. It created the Student Project Programme (SPP) in 1977-78 to provide financial and academic support for Bachelor of Engineering Projects. Since its inception, it has been promoting research, innovation, and development thereby having an impact on, and improving the quality of technical education.
