Mangaluru: The Department of Journalism, St Aloysius College (Autonomous), Mangaluru organised a PR Event on road safety and regulations titled ‘Safe on Roads’ at the Dr P Dayananda Pai – P Sathish Pai Government First Grade College here on July 31. The Chief Guest of the event was Poornima, Inspector of Motor Vehicle Department in Mangaluru.
Poornima enlightened the students about the rules and regulations that one should follow while on road. She pointed out several common causes of road accidents. The Inspector expounded the importance of wearing helmet and seat belt while driving.
Rajashekara Hebbar, Principal of the college and Jayashri, from the Department of English were present for the event.
