Mangaluru: Rotary Club’s ambitious WinS (WASH in Schools) program was held at Kanachur Public School in association with Rotary Club of Mangalore City. Rtn Dr Rohan Monis, CAO, Kanachur Hospital and Research Centre, Deralakatte addressed the event that was participated by nearly 176 students from class V to VII. President of Rotary Club Mangalore City Rtn Dr Ranjan delivered the inaugural address.
The sustainable WinS program, which was started by Rotary International with the support of UNICEF is intended to improve health, foster learning and enable children to participate as agents of change for their siblings, their parents and the community at large. Rotary, in India will have role in making sure that every child receives the benefits of WASH in Schools. Rtn Basavakumar is the chairman of WinS for Rotary Club Mangalore City.
Vinitha Rose – Principal, Kanachur Public School, Linnet – Principal, Pre-Primary School, President of Rotary Club Mangalore City Rtn Dr Ranjan, Secretary Rtn Prashanth, Sergeant at Arms Rtn Shailendra were present. Nelson Godfrey coordinated and compered the event.
