Mangaluru: The SATRANG forum of the School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya, Mangaluru, celebrated ‘Hindi Divas’ on Saturday, September 29.
The chief guest of the occasion, Mangaluru University Associate Professor, Dr. Suma T. Rodanwar inaugurated the event at 11 am. She addressed the gathering and outlined the significance and beauty of Hindi as a language. “People often underestimate the value of Hindi in the country, but in reality, it hands out a number of opportunities, especially in foreign countries,” she said.
The principal of Roshni Nilaya, Juliet C. J. presided over the function. Head of the Department of Hindi, Roshni Nilaya, Dr. Keshav Gowda welcomed the gathering after which various cultural programmes were conducted by the students of the SATRANG forum. Vice Principal, Roshni Nilaya, Dr. Jenis Mary and President of the SATRANG forum, Meghana Nayak were also present on the dais.
Secretary of the SATRANG forum, Hensita D’Costa delivered a vote of thanks.
