A two-day national level intercollegiate Talent Hunt “EXPRESSIONS, 2019 ANIMAC – Evoke your Inner Child” was inaugurated at School of Social Work Roshni Nilaya on the 19th of September, 2019.
The event was inaugurated by Mr. Vivek Alva, Managing Trustee, Alva’s Education Foundation. The event was declared open by illuminating the room followed by a motivational speech by the guest of Honour Mr. Vivek Alva spoke to the crowd about the importance of conducting Inter – Collegiate Fests and also boosted the students with his fascinating words. He focused on living a life of purpose as the youth of today and spoke about the practicality of learning the skills of life and encouraged the students to live young for the rest of their lives.
Ms. Olinda Periera, Founder Principal and Dr. Jacintha D’Souza, the former Principal and former provincial of DHM, India Province south also graced the occasion with their presence. The Principal of School Of Social Work Roshni Nilaya, Professor Ms. Juliet C.J, addressed the gathering and encouraged all the students to keep up the competitive spirit, no matter the results. She also enhanced the energy in the room through her calm yet inspiring words. She stated to the audience about how unified the students and staff are in the College in making the event successful.
The trophies were unveiled in the most beautiful way, which left the audience amazed. Ms. Sarik Ankitha, The Programme Co-ordinator escorted the dignitaries to the dais and welcomed the gathering.
The President of the Students’ Council, Ms. Ayesha Meyza delivered the curtain-raiser. The inaugural function ended with the Vote of Thanks was proposed by Ms.Swathi, the Cultural Secretary. The program was conducted by Ms. Nashma Khatija, the Academic Secretary.
