P. A. College of Engineering organises E-Step Skill development programme

Mangaluru: Virtual E-STEP BOOTCAMP-2021, an Initiative of Karnataka Innovation and Technology Society (KITS), Department of Electronics, IT, BT and S&T, Government of Karnataka, was held at P.A. College of Engineering, Mangaluru on May 29th Saturday.

E-Step is an initiative from Startup Cell – Karnataka with a focus to empower the students in the state towards entrepreneurship by providing amazing opportunity to unveil students’ ideas to the world.

Virtual bootcamp is conducted across Karnataka at 21 locations and 13 districts, PACE, Mangaluru being the 10th location. Vishnu Nagaraj, Founder CEO, Carve Startup Labs, Bangalore, conducted the bootcamp. Students were encouraged towards ideation, product development and business model.

Dr Ramis M. K, Principal of P.A. College of Engineering, Mangaluru provided a platform for all the innovative ideas in the ecosystem. Prof. Habeeb Ur Rehman, College Coordinator, NAIN-Ktech Innovation Hub, P.A. College of Engineering Mangaluru initiated the student activities. Dr Krishna Prasad Nooralabettu, District Innovation Associate, PACE-KTech-NAIN Innovation Hub, Mangaluru, coordinated the programme at college level.

Mohammed Ashfaque, Managing Director, Atelier Designs, Mangaluru who was also one of the Mentors, narrated his successful story of entrepreneurship journey and convinced the young minds to become entrepreneurs rather than job seekers. Meena Nagaraj, IAS, Director, Department of Electronics, IT & BT and Managing Director, KITS Government of Karnataka proposed vote of thanks.  Champa, General Manager, KITS Government of Karnataka and Dr Sandhya Anvekar, Programme Head- Skilling, KITS Government of Karnataka organised the programme.

Dr E.V. Ramana Reddy, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary, Department of Electronics, IT, BT and S&T, Government of Karnataka. Gudipudi Krishna Sharma, Invest India, Government of India, highlighted Startup India Session, Policy initiatives and Schemes. Vishnu Nagaraj, Founder CEO, Carve Startup Labs, Product Architect, Startup Evangelist, and Innovator mentored 275 students on brainstorming, product design and marketing, design thinking, product development, research and development, business models, pitch desk creation, innovation, and mock pitching.
